Southport Pier 7 - With border and sig

I almost get the feeling that you marshalled those clouds into a perfect position to complement the pier structure ... oh you did? well done. Seriously the darkened right hand side gives this image such grand drama to frame a large structure.

The partial reflections in the water are a really good contribution to the overall effect - a full reflection would have been too 'chocolate box' and the starburst sun works well for this sort of dramatic shot ...

... I could though live without the red 'comet' effect underneath the pier - it distracts the eye and takes something away from the architectural detail of the pier supports. There is a glint of red above it in the clouds but that is okay because it adds to the impact rather than distracting from it.

Despite that small point, this is a great picture and one that I am sure would be popular as a large print.
